How EssentialSteps Helped Lynn

“I decided to work with Michelle because the program she developed seemed to be innovative and new. I was very curious about how I could be “coached” into taking my essential steps to health. Although when I started EssentialSteps, exercising felt like a chore, the program has made me think of exercise as “play time.” I used to feel guilty about playing when I have so many “to do” things. However, I have learned through my work with Michelle that “my time” is critical and that I deserve “my time.” I now feel a sense of accomplishment by fitting in play time and my time. It is incredible to me how easy and fulfilling it is to fit fitness into my daily life.”

All about “my time”
“Michelle helped me recognize that I am active and I am taking steps to add in extra movement everyday. In addition, now the concept of “my time” is a “valid” to do item and it feels great to take my EssentialSteps. EssentialSteps has helped me more with my mental relationship to fitness. I am trying new things and giving myself the permission to not do things that do not feel good to me or are not fun.”

EssentialSteps for children

“I absolutely recommend EssentialSteps and working with Michelle to other women - this program is truly revolutionary. I think this method should be taught in local school gym classes to help reduce childhood obesity. Children need to learn early, before the traditional and negative old school definitions get programmed into their lives. Michelle, please keep up your work to help women re-learn about exercise. It is amazing how fun and enriching fitness is. I have starting riding my bike, walking more, and looking for fun, adventurous little things to make a big difference in taking my EssentialSteps.”
